What is rapport? A definition:

  • A relationship, especially one of mutual trust or emotional affinity.
     
  • Sharing a common commitment.
     
  • Overall perception of an interaction.
     
  • Quality of a relationship characterised by satisfactory communication and mutual understanding.

Rapport is a customer’s perception of having an enjoyable interaction with a service provider, characterised by a personal connection between the two parties.
