People don’t remember names for the simple reason that they don’t take the time and energy that is necessary to concentrate, repeat and fix names indelibly in their minds.

Here are some Helpful Hints to help you:

Concentrate on the person's name. Repeat their name back to them as they introduce themselves.
Associate the name with the person. Associate the name with the person's features, expressions, or someone you know by that name.
Use the person's name in the conversation. Repeat the person's name at least once in the initial conversation. This will not only help you to establish a personal relationship, but it will help you remember it.
